The Grunting Child

I don't recall my older boys going through this, so I'm concerned it's not a phase BUT my precious 15 yr old son has reverted to monosyllabic communication. Unh, ugh, Mmmm, No, Why, it's all I hear anymore.
Except when he wants something...teenagers are so much fun.

Friday Blahs

Is it abnormal/unhealthy that my mood is so affected by my husband? Case in point, today is Friday and I couldn't care less - because he works this weekend. If he were going to be home I'd be working on a grocery list, planning the wonderful things I could cook for him, and touching base with our friends to see what's going on tonight. But instead I have a headache and am thinking about staying in my pajamas all weekend. Does anyone else do this?

Fashion Alert from the 14 yr old

fyi - ACCESSORIES ARE IN, this according to the ever fashionable Nick. Nick added that his brothers will get into it in a couple of weeks - they're not on the cutting edge like he is.

Which accessories, you ask? What new and fabulous styles have these kids discovered? Well, they're calling them belts and bracelets - I know, right? They're so cool.

I wonder how much time other people put into this. Just getting the layout right has taken a couple of hours - and I'm not even sure it IS right. How do you know?

Friday Night

It's Friday night and the kids are running - one is down the street, one is across the street, and one is across the lake. I liked it better when they were afraid of the dark.
